My floor was installed fifteen years ago; has become dull and the grout, originally sand in color, has darkened. I would like to strip the dirt and either reseal or polish the floor.

I just got a new home built with 800+ sq ft of tile. Its a very very dark tile and the grout is a charcoal color. The builder was careless, and when the cleaners came to do the final cleaning they have embeded the grout with drywall dust. So now the grout looks white/light gray and its really incosistant, some areas are like pure white, some are dark like it was suppose to be, and most are a light gray. I have scrubbed and scrubbed the grout with water and some cheap floor cleaner, but no luck, goes right back to a light gray/white, its just embeded in there… I need to clean it out before I move in so I can seal all of the tile. I dont want to seal all of this drywall dust into the grout. What should I do?

The grout on my kitchen and foyer floor tile is very stained. We never got around to sealing the grout when we laid the tile….BIG MISTAKE!!! What can I do to help remove the stains and help my floor look clean again? We are having a birthday party for my son in 4 weeks and I would like the house to look good PLEASE HELP.
